Key projects Digital Health-Chanjo KE developement • Worked closed with users including the Ministry of health officials, Digital Health subject matter experts and healthcare workers leading the collection of user requirements in a CRDM workshop • Developed the first draft of the Software requirements document using WHO smart guidelines. • Worked closely with external vendor conducting user acceptance tests (UAT) on the app to make sure all the requirements were met. • Participated in usability testing workshops with users testing the app and documenting feedback. Maternal Health and Child Health- Newborn Nutrition Digital Adaptation Kit (A digital tool that provides data-informed guidance to optimize critical feeding according to clinical care guidelines. The intervention has the potential to reduce hospital stays, improve newborn nutrition, reduce morbidity and mortality associated with lack of optimal nutrition early in life. • Conducted user reaserch in Pumwani Maternity hospital around challenges in Newborn feeding with a focus on how newborns miss lifesaving milk in their first hour of life. • Analysed the quantitative and qualitative data drawing insights on the challenges experienced. • Conducted co-creation workshops with healthcare workers to brainstorm on different solutions to the challenges. • Led the UI development of the Newborn Nutrition Digital Adaptation Kit (NNDAK) guided by the insights from the user research and the co-creation workshops • Convened users again in a series of Usability testing workshops collecting feedback to guide the iterations. • Iterated the application based on feedback from the usability testing workshops Artificial Intelligence in Health- Penda Health AI consult UX study • Conducted usability testing on the Penda Health AI consult tool. • Documented feedback and shared this with the team to improve its usability Immunization • Worked closely with healthcare workers to understand what motivates them and the real challenges they face in their daily work. Partnered to co-create ideas together, then quickly built and tested simple prototypes to see what could genuinely make their work easier and improve care. Covid-19 vaccine equity • Conducted rapid qualitative research with healthcare workers (HCWs and CHVs) and community members in Kisumu and Turkana to better understand their current perceptions and behaviours with regards to the COVID vaccine, as well as their current sources of information and the types of messaging they are receiving. Through the course of this research we tested communication strategies with respondents to understand what works and co-designed effective communications approaches in partnership with the health care workers and community members – who are the users the communications hopes to reach.

Key Achievements:

I worked closely with the technology team and external vendors in the design and development of different applications. I also worked closely with the Sales team and the branding team in the design of different communication materials.
