Job Description

A personal brand channel with 80,000+ subscribers, consistent uploads, and an audience that's engaged but not being maximized. The content is good — the problem is everything around it. Titles and thumbnails are inconsistent, publishing is sometimes late, the community tab is barely used, and there's no real strategy connecting individual videos to channel growth.

We need a YouTube Channel Manager to own the operational and growth side of the channel so the creator can focus entirely on making content.

  • Researching video topics and titles using YouTube SEO tools — identifying opportunities based on search volume, competition, and audience overlap
  • Writing and testing titles and descriptions optimized for both click-through rate and search discovery
  • Managing the full upload process — thumbnails (briefed to the designer), tags, chapters, cards, end screens, and scheduling
  • Running the community tab and Shorts strategy to maintain audience engagement between main uploads
  • Analyzing performance in YouTube Studio — watch time, CTR, audience retention, and subscriber trends — and making specific data-backed recommendations
  • Managing the content calendar and ensuring nothing is late or rushed

Solid understanding of YouTube SEO and how the algorithm distributes content is required — not surface-level knowledge. Experience operating a channel with real subscriber numbers is strongly preferred.
