What This Role Is
We offer bookkeeping to freelancers—designers, writers, coaches—who are focused on their craft, not their finances. You’ll be the person who takes their disorganized transactions and turns them into clear, accurate financial records each month.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will handle the monthly bookkeeping for a set group of clients. This involves logging into their QuickBooks Online, categorizing expenses from connected bank accounts, reconciling accounts, and generating a straightforward profit and loss statement. A key part is also reviewing their accounts receivable to flag overdue invoices so they can follow up.
What You Need to Succeed
You must have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, specifically for small businesses or freelancers. Understanding how to classify expenses for tax purposes and separate personal spending is crucial. Success in this role requires extreme attention to detail, a high degree of integrity when handling sensitive data, and the discipline to manage your own workload to meet monthly deadlines. You can work from any location on your own schedule.
