Job Description
We're a DTC cosmetics brand running on Shopify and growing fast. We need a developer who can take full ownership of the store — someone who understands that in cosmetics, how the site looks and feels is just as important as how it functions.
You'll own everything on the Shopify side:
- Theme customization and front-end development that matches our brand aesthetic precisely
- Product page optimization for conversion — bundles, upsells, and cross-sells
- App integrations including reviews, loyalty programs, and email marketing tools
- Subscription and repeat purchase flow setup and maintenance
- Site speed, mobile performance, and UX improvements on an ongoing basis
- Troubleshooting, testing, and keeping the store healthy as we scale
Cosmetics buyers are primarily on mobile and they make decisions fast. The store needs to load quickly, look polished, and make it effortless to move from discovery to checkout. You should have experience building or maintaining Shopify stores for DTC brands — ideally in beauty, skincare, or lifestyle — and know what separates a store that converts from one that doesn't.
Strong Liquid templating, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS skills are required. Experience with Shopify Plus is a strong advantage as we plan to migrate within the next 12 months.
