Shopify Backend Operations VA

We’re looking for someone who understands how a Shopify store runs behind the scenes. This is not a store setup or design role—you’ll be handling the operational layer that keeps orders, inventory, and fulfillment running without issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage product data, SKUs, and inventory syncing across systems
• Maintain accurate stock levels and prevent overselling or discrepancies
• Coordinate fulfillment workflows with 3PL partners
• Handle returns, exchanges, and reverse logistics processes
• Investigate and resolve backend issues (order errors, inventory mismatches, fulfillment delays)
• Monitor order flow and flag operational issues before they escalate

Requirements:

• 3+ years working inside Shopify on backend operations (not store setup/design)
• 3+ years managing inventory systems, SKU structures, and product data
• 3+ years coordinating with 3PLs, fulfillment centers, or logistics partners
• 3+ years handling returns workflows and post-purchase operations
• Strong understanding of how Shopify connects with apps, payment systems, and fulfillment tools
• Experience troubleshooting backend issues and identifying root causes
• High attention to detail when dealing with orders, inventory, and system data
