Job Description
We run a weekly podcast with a growing audience and a consistent guest pipeline. Production has been handled by the host with help from whoever is available — quality is inconsistent, turnaround is slow, and the workflow has never been properly structured. We need a dedicated producer who can own the end-to-end process so the host can focus on content, not logistics.
You'll take raw recordings from interview to published episode — editing, mixing, writing show notes, coordinating publishing across platforms, and clipping short-form content for social. You'll also support guest coordination and help maintain the editorial calendar as the show scales.
What you'll manage
- Editing raw recordings — cleaning audio, removing filler, tightening pacing, and adding music and sound design to brand standard
- Writing episode titles, descriptions, and show notes optimized for discovery on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube
- Publishing episodes across all platforms on schedule and maintaining the episode backlog
- Creating short-form video clips from each episode for distribution on social media channels
- Managing the editorial calendar and guest pipeline — keeping upcoming episodes organized so the host is never scrambling
Requirements
- Proven podcast production experience — links to shows you've produced are required with your application
- Strong audio editing skills and working knowledge of video editing in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro for clip creation
- Understanding of podcast SEO — titles, descriptions, and metadata that drive platform discovery
- Reliable and deadline-driven — the host needs to trust that production is handled without follow-up
- Any timezone — the workflow is fully async
- Fluent English
