Job Description
We are seeking a
high-performing Part-Time Business Development Manager for a flexible
commitment of 5-10 hours per week to drive sales of our exciting
marketing services to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
This is a perfect remote opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated
sales professional who is a natural closer and has a passion for music,
media, and marketing. You will be at the forefront of our growth,
sourcing new clients and building lasting business relationships in a
capacity that complements your existing schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary role will be to source, nurture, and close new business opportunities. You will:
Maintain a high activity level: We expect an average of 10-15 outbound
attempts per hour during your calling blocks, with all activity
meticulously logged in our CRM."
Leverage your existing networks, our CRM, and your own proven strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
Focus on achieving and exceeding new business targets and objectives appropriate for a part-time role.
Manage the entire sales process from initial outreach to contract
signing, including quoting, meticulous follow-ups, and executing closing
strategies.
Required Experience and Skills:
High-Initiative Learner: You will be provided with a comprehensive brief
on our UVPs and pain points. We do not pay for your initial study time.
You must be prepared to pass a roleplay and objection-handling test
during the final interview stage.
Proven BDM Experience: Several years of experience successfully
closing deals for contracted services (e.g., marketing, advertising, IT,
or professional services) within the Australian and New Zealand
markets.
Exceptional Communication: An exceptional command of the English
language, with a communication style (including accent and intonation)
that is clear, natural, and easily understood by an Australian and New
Zealand audience.
Expert Prospector: Skilled in creating and nurturing leads through
phone calls, personalised emails, LinkedIn, and other effective B2B
strategies.
A True Closer: You are more than just a salesperson; you have a
proven track record of getting contracts signed. You are resilient and
can handle rejections on the path to success.
Persuasive & Influential: Ability to persuade prospects to
review and switch suppliers by highlighting renewed features, superior
service, or financial savings.
Senior-Level Engagement: Confident and articulate in your engagement
with Senior Management, Directors, and key decision-makers.
Self-Motivated & Entrepreneurial: You are hungry to achieve,
self-motivated, and possess the tenacity to go above and beyond to
excel. You work with initiative and a powerful drive for success.
Professional Setup: You operate from a professional home office with
a reliable, high-speed internet connection. IP dialer softphone and
account will be provided.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient with CRM systems, Gmail, and Google Docs. You are a fast learner of new products and sales processes.
Love the Phone: You genuinely enjoy connecting with people and building relationships over the phone.
An existing network of medium-to-large business contacts in the ANZ region is highly advantageous.
Availability & Working Hours
Please note: This role requires actively calling business prospects. To
be effective, you must be available to make calls during the peak
business window in Australia, which is typically between 10:00 AM and
3:00 PM Melbourne time.
Your 5-10 hours per week should be scheduled primarily within this
