Job Description
Immigration cases don't fail because of bad legal strategy. They fail because a document arrived late, a deadline was missed by a day, or a client didn't know what they needed to submit and nobody followed up. In immigration law the margin for error is close to zero.
We're a US immigration law firm and need a Case Coordinator to manage the operational side of active matters — from intake through filing. Attorneys handle the legal analysis. You make sure every case is always moving and nothing falls through the cracks.
What you'll own across each case:
- Client intake — collecting personal information, documents, and case history in a complete and organized way
- Document tracking — knowing exactly what's been received, what's outstanding, and following up until everything arrives
- Deadline management — USCIS timelines, RFE response windows, visa expiry dates, and priority date monitoring
- Case status updates — keeping clients informed at every stage so they're not calling to ask where things stand
- Filing coordination — organizing packages, checking for completeness, and ensuring submissions go out correctly and on time
Prior experience in an immigration law firm or with immigration case management software is strongly preferred. You need to be organized to a degree most people aren't, fluent in English, and comfortable communicating with clients who are often anxious about their status.
