Health Information Specialist

Join a healthcare organization dedicated to accurate patient records and compliant billing. You will be responsible for translating clinical documentation into precise codes and ensuring health information is accurate and complete.

Day-to-Day:

• Review patient charts, lab results, and physician notes to assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Verify documentation for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Work with billing teams to resolve coding or documentation discrepancies.
• Collaborate with clinicians to clarify unclear or incomplete patient records.
• Generate reports on coding accuracy, trends, and compliance metrics.

What We’re Looking For:

• Certified Medical Coder with experience in hospitals or healthcare facilities.
• Deep understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
