Job Description
About the Role
We help members build the daily habits that drive lasting weight loss: exercise, meals, water, and consistency. We do not prescribe or manage any medication. When a member is under a doctor's care, that stays between the member and their own provider. Your job is the daily human accountability around their goals.
This is a 12-week trial. If it goes well, it opens into a larger, ongoing, better-paid role with the health brand. You will work closely with your member Monday through Friday over WhatsApp and keep them moving toward their goal.
What You Will Do (Daily Rhythm)
- Create a simple daily exercise plan for the member based on their goals and level.
- Confirm with the member what time they plan to work out the next day.
- Check in right before the workout to make sure they are on their way.
- Check in right after the workout to see how it went and celebrate the win.
- Check in periodically through the day on water intake and meals.
- Review the member's meal logs and give honest, goal-based feedback, real about what is working and what is not.
- Show up warm, encouraging, and consistent every single day.
All of this happens over WhatsApp, Monday through Friday. It is a handful of short check-ins spread across the day, not a block of dedicated hours, so the actual messaging time is light.
The Non-Negotiable
The single most important quality for this role is that you are nonjudgmental about bodies. In plain terms: you never call anyone fat, you never react with shock or surprise at a member's weight, a meal, or a progress photo, and you never say anything like "whoa" that would make a person feel exposed or ashamed. You meet people with steady encouragement no matter what they eat, weigh, or send you. If that is not how you naturally show up, this is not the role for you.
Real, Not Fake Positive
Nonjudgmental does not mean empty cheerleading. Members are paying for honest accountability. If a meal log is thin, if a workout got skipped, if the effort was not there, you name it directly and kindly, and you help them do better the next day. The skill is separating the person from the performance: never a hard word about their body, always an honest word about the work. A fake "great job" when the work was not done helps no one, and it shows up on the scale.
What You Will Not Do
- You will not give or adjust any medication guidance. Every medication question goes back to the member's prescriber.
- You will not write prescriptive calorie-and-macro meal plans. That is dietitian scope. You give habit-level feedback on the logs, not clinical nutrition prescriptions.
- You will not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. If a member reports pain, injury, or a medical symptom, you route them to their doctor.
Who You Are
- Warm, patient, and genuinely encouraging, with a nonjudgmental approach to weight, food, and bodies.
- Honest and direct about effort and logs without ever being harsh about the person. Encouraging, not a pushover, and never fake.
- Extremely reliable and responsive. You show up every weekday, on time, without being chased.
- Comfortable running the whole relationship over WhatsApp with clear, friendly English.
- Available across the member's waking window. The member is awake roughly 5am to 11pm US Central time, which is about 2pm to 8am the next morning in East Africa Time, so your afternoon, evening, and early morning cover most of it.
- A health, fitness, or wellness coaching background or certification is a plus but not required. Attitude and consistency matter most here.
How Success Is Measured
This is a results role. Over the 12 weeks, success is the member making real progress toward their weight goal through steady daily consistency. You are the reason they stay on track.
What We Provide
- The member's goals, starting point, and check-in structure.
- A simple daily rhythm to follow so you are never guessing what to send.
- A clear scope so you always know your lane.
Compensation and Growth
- $10 per week for the 12-week trial.
- This is an audition. Prove you can hold a member accountable and help them get results, and this grows into a larger, ongoing, paid role with the health brand.
How to Apply
Start your application with the word THRIVE so we know you read this all the way through. Then answer every question below.
Application
Begin your response with the word THRIVE.
- In your own words, how would you encourage a member who did not work out and did not log meals for two days? Write the actual message you would send.
- A member sends you a photo of a meal and says, "I know this is bad, I feel awful about myself." How do you respond?
- A member messages that she feels nauseous and wants to lower her dose. What do you do?
- A member asks you to build a full meal plan with exact calories and macros. How do you handle it?
- Walk us through one full day with a member over WhatsApp, from the morning workout confirmation to the evening check-in.
- How do you keep someone accountable every single day without nagging or making them feel guilty?
- Do you have any health, fitness, or wellness coaching background or certification? Tell us about it. This is not required.
- The member is awake from about 5am to 11pm US Central time, and this role runs Monday to Friday. Which hours on weekdays can you reliably be available to message them, and how does that line up with their window?
- Describe your setup: your phone or computer, your internet reliability, and how comfortable you are using WhatsApp every day.
- Tell us about a time you helped someone stay consistent with a goal. What did you actually do day to day?
- Why do you want this role, and how do you feel about supporting people through weight loss?
- (Optional but encouraged) Send a short voice note or video introducing yourself, so we can hear your warmth and communication style.
