Job Description
We're an e-commerce brand in the health and wellness space with a subscriber list of over 80,000 — built primarily through paid acquisition over the past three years. Our email program is currently a weekly newsletter and a handful of automations that haven't been touched since they were set up. Open rates are reasonable, but revenue attribution from email is nowhere near where it should be for a list this size. We know we're leaving money on the table and we're ready to fix it.
We're looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to take full ownership of the channel. That means auditing what's there, building a proper automation stack, running the ongoing campaign calendar, and being accountable for the numbers. You'll write the copy, build the flows, manage deliverability, and report on performance. This is not a role where you hand briefs to a copywriter or escalate to a manager — you own it end to end.
What the role involves
- Conducting a full audit of the existing Klaviyo account — flows, segments, list health, suppression management, and deliverability — and producing a prioritized remediation plan
- Building and optimizing the complete automation stack: welcome series, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase sequences, and win-back campaigns
- Planning and executing the weekly campaign calendar — concept, copy, basic design in Klaviyo, scheduling, and deployment
- Running A/B tests systematically across subject lines, preview text, content, CTAs, and send times — with documented hypotheses and results
- Monitoring list health and deliverability on an ongoing basis — managing suppression lists, handling bounces, and maintaining sender reputation
- Reporting weekly on open rates, click rates, email-attributed revenue, and list growth — with context and a clear view of what's working and what isn't
Requirements
- 2+ years managing email marketing for an e-commerce brand — Klaviyo specifically, not just general ESP experience
- Strong copywriting skills — you'll write all the emails yourself, subject lines through body copy
- Comfortable working independently and owning your own reporting without a dedicated analyst
- Experience managing deliverability and list hygiene, not just sending campaigns
- US timezone overlap required for coordination with the broader marketing team
- Fluent English
