Job Description

This role owns the operational backbone of our online store. You'll ensure orders ship correctly, inventory stays accurate, returns are processed efficiently, and our platform runs without friction.

1. Experience & Background You Must Have

You've spent at least 2 years working inside e-commerce operations for a direct-to-consumer brand or high-volume online retailer. You know Shopify inside and out—not just product uploads, but backend settings, fulfillment workflows, and integration configurations. You've coordinated with fulfillment centers and understand how logistics actually work. You're proficient with spreadsheets for inventory tracking, order reconciliation, and reporting. You've managed operations through busy seasons like Black Friday, product launches, or flash sales and didn't break under pressure.

2. Order Fulfillment & Shipping

Monitor daily orders and ensure they're picked, packed, and shipped on time. Coordinate with fulfillment partners to resolve delays, address errors, and troubleshoot shipping issues. Track shipments, update customers on delivery status, and handle lost or damaged package claims. Manage split shipments, backorders, and pre-orders without creating confusion.

3. Returns & Exchange Processing

Approve return and exchange requests based on company policy. Coordinate warehouse restocking of returned items and ensure inventory reflects returns accurately. Process refunds and exchanges promptly and keep customers updated throughout. Identify return patterns that indicate product quality or listing accuracy issues.

4. Inventory Control

Track stock levels in real time across all SKUs and selling channels. Forecast reorder points based on sales trends and lead times. Coordinate purchase orders with suppliers and manage inbound shipment tracking. Prevent stockouts that kill sales momentum and overstock that ties up cash. Reconcile inventory discrepancies between the platform and physical warehouse counts.

5. Platform & System Management

Maintain backend configurations for shipping rules, tax settings, and fulfillment automation. Troubleshoot integration issues between the store, 3PL systems, and inventory tools. Set up and test new workflows when launching products or expanding to new regions. Keep operational documentation updated so processes are clear and repeatable.
