Job Description
We're a growth-stage e-commerce company selling across our own DTC store, Amazon, and a wholesale channel. We generate a lot of data across all three — product performance, marketing spend, margins, customer behavior — and right now most of it sits unused. Decisions get made based on gut feel, last month's spreadsheet, or whoever pulled a number most recently. We're ready to change that.
This is the first dedicated data role on the team. You'll build the reporting infrastructure from the ground up, own the dashboards, and become the person the rest of the team turns to when they need to understand what's actually happening in the business. It's a high-visibility role with real influence over how decisions get made.
What you'll own
- Designing and maintaining dashboards in Tableau covering the metrics that matter: revenue by channel, margin, customer acquisition cost, repeat purchase rate, and inventory performance
- Writing SQL queries to pull, clean, and structure data from our PostgreSQL database and other sources including ad platforms and marketplaces
- Python-based analysis using Pandas and NumPy for more complex data preparation, cohort analysis, and modeling
- Delivering weekly and monthly reports to leadership — with interpretation and recommendations, not just raw numbers
- Fielding ad hoc analysis requests from ops, marketing, and the product team as business questions come up
Who we're looking for
- Solid, proven SQL skills — you can write and troubleshoot complex queries independently
- Experience building dashboards for non-technical stakeholders who need to act on the data, not just view it
- Working Python knowledge for data manipulation and analysis — Pandas and NumPy specifically
- Background in e-commerce, retail, or a multi-channel business is a meaningful advantage
- Clear written English — your reports need to be understood by people who aren't looking at the same data you are
- Any timezone — the team is globally distributed and operates async-first
