Business Analyst

A scaling SaaS company where product decisions are made based on instinct and anecdotal feedback rather than structured analysis. The data exists — in the CRM, the product analytics, the support tickets — but nobody is connecting the dots between what customers are experiencing and what the business should be building or changing.

The Business Analyst will sit at the intersection of product, ops, and data — gathering requirements, mapping processes, analyzing data, and translating findings into clear recommendations that actually get acted on.

What the role covers

• Gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders across product, sales, and ops — translating them into clear specs for the technical team
• Mapping and analyzing existing business processes — identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
• Running data analysis using SQL and Excel to answer specific business questions and validate assumptions before decisions get made
• Building reports and dashboards that give stakeholders the information they need without having to ask the data team each time
• Supporting project delivery — working with product and engineering to ensure requirements are understood and deliverables match what was specified
• Maintaining documentation of processes, systems, and decisions so institutional knowledge doesn't walk out the door when people leave

Requirements

• 3+ years of business analysis experience in a SaaS, tech, or e-commerce environment
• Comfortable with SQL for data extraction and Excel or Google Sheets for modeling and analysis
• Experience translating business needs into technical requirements for cross-functional teams
• Proficient with project management tools — Jira, Notion, or similar
