Job Description
We're a growing business that needs someone who can keep our financial records clean, accurate, and organized without hand-holding. If you've been managing books for at least 2 years and QuickBooks is your daily tool, this role is straightforward: own our accounting from transaction entry through monthly close.
About This Position
You'll be responsible for the complete financial record-keeping process. Every day you'll record transactions, categorize expenses, and ensure our books reflect reality. Monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax preparation support are core parts of the job. You work independently, meet deadlines without reminders, and catch errors before they become problems.
The Day-to-Day
- Transaction recording and categorization in QuickBooks
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Accounts payable and receivable management
- Invoice tracking and payment follow-ups
- Generating P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Organizing receipts and expense documentation
- Supporting quarterly tax prep with clean, organized records
- Closing books on schedule every month
You Should Have
- Minimum 2 years as a professional bookkeeper
- Expert-level QuickBooks skills (chart of accounts, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting)
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
- Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills across multiple accounts and deadlines
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance people
- Self-motivated work style with consistent deadline performance
