Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our law firm's financial records. This virtual position requires QuickBooks expertise and understanding of legal accounting practices, particularly trust account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
  • Process accounts payable/receivable and client invoicing
  • Manage IOLTA/trust accounts in compliance with state bar regulations
  • Perform monthly bank and trust account reconciliations
  • Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, aging reports)
  • Track case-related expenses and retainer deposits
  • Assist with billing inquiries and collections
  • Support quarterly tax prep and annual audits

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years bookkeeping experience (law firm experience preferred)
  • Advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency
  • Understanding of trust accounting and IOLTA regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • High-speed internet and dedicated workspace
