Job Description
We are a healthcare practice looking for a Virtual Patient Care Coordinator to join our remote team. This role is entirely work-from-home, and you will be the first point of contact for our patients via phone and email.
What You'll Do
You will manage patient appointments from start to finish. This includes scheduling, sending confirmations, rescheduling when needed, and ensuring no gaps in the daily calendar. You will handle inbound patient calls and messages, answer questions about procedures, collect insurance and billing information, and update patient records accurately in our system. You will also address patient concerns, complaints, and follow-ups with professionalism and empathy.
You will not be greeting anyone in person. You will not be at a physical front desk. But you will still be the face of our practice to every patient who reaches out to us remotely.
Who You Are
You are currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a medical field. You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. You are comfortable working independently, managing your time, and handling multiple tasks from your own home office.
You are empathetic. You understand that patients may be anxious, frustrated, or confused, and you respond with patience and care. You are detail-oriented and do not let insurance IDs, policy numbers, or appointment times slip through the cracks. You are calm under pressure and can problem-solve in real time when a scheduling conflict or patient complaint arises.
You have a quiet workspace, reliable internet, and are available during our practice hours.
