Job Description

Running a short-term rental well means someone's always on top of guest messages, bookings, and turnovers — that's the role we're filling. We need a Co-Host Manager to handle the day-to-day operations of our vacation rental listings so nothing gets missed between bookings.

On the guest side, you'll be: Answering inquiries and booking questions quickly, sending check-in and check-out instructions, and being the go-to contact if a guest runs into an issue during their stay. Part of the job is smoothing things over when something goes wrong — a late checkout, a maintenance issue, a guest complaint — before it turns into a bad review.

On the operations side, you'll be: Managing the booking calendar across platforms (Airbnb, VRBO, ——, etc.) to avoid double-bookings, coordinating with cleaners and maintenance teams around turnover schedules, and making sure each property is guest-ready on time, every time. When something needs fixing between guests, you're the one making sure it actually gets handled.

On the reputation side, you'll be: Responding to reviews, keeping listing descriptions and photos current, and watching for patterns in guest feedback that point to something worth fixing.

What you'll need:

  • Direct experience managing Airbnb, VRBO, or similar short-term rental listings
  • Comfort using channel management or property management software (Hospitable, Guesty, Hostaway, or similar)
  • Strong, responsive communication — guests expect fast replies, especially during a stay
  • Calm problem-solving under pressure, since issues often need same-day resolution
  • Organizational skills to juggle multiple properties, calendars, and vendor relationships at once
  • Availability across time zones or flexible hours, since guest issues don't wait for business hours

Bonus points for:

  • Experience managing multiple properties or a portfolio for a property management company
  • Familiarity with dynamic pricing tools (PriceLabs, Wheelhouse, etc.)
  • A track record of maintaining high review scores across listings

Interested applicants should include how many properties or listings they've managed at once, which platforms and tools they've used, and how they've handled a difficult guest situation in the past.
