Short-Term Rental Assistant (Airbnb & VRBO)

We are seeking a proactive, hospitality-minded Short-Term Rental Assistant to manage and optimize our portfolio of vacation rentals. You will be the primary point of contact for guests and responsible for ensuring our listings remain competitive, high-ranking, and profitable. This is a remote role requiring high attention to detail and a "customer-first" mentality.

Responsibilities

• Listing Optimization: Regularly audit and update listing titles, descriptions, and photo sequences to improve SEO and conversion rates on Airbnb and Vrbo.
• Guest Communication: Handle the full guest lifecycle, including pre-booking inquiries, check-in instructions, mid-stay support, and post-stay review collection.
• Calendar & Pricing Management: Monitor availability to prevent double-bookings across platforms. Assist in adjusting dynamic pricing (using tools like PriceLabs or Wheelhouse) to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Review Management: Respond professionally to all guest reviews, addressing concerns and highlighting positive feedback to maintain a "Superhost" status.
• Operations Coordination: Coordinate with local cleaning and maintenance teams to ensure seamless turnovers. Update digital welcome books and house manuals as needed.
• Reporting: Track key metrics such as occupancy rates, average daily rate (ADR), and guest satisfaction scores.

Requirements

• Platform Expertise: Proven experience navigating the back-end of Airbnb, Vrbo, and preferably a Property Management System (PMS) like Hospitable, Guesty, or Hostaway.
• Communication: Exceptional written English with a warm, professional, and helpful tone.
• Problem Solving: Ability to stay calm and resourceful when handling guest complaints or property emergencies.
• Availability: Must be able to respond to urgent guest messages within a specific timeframe (e.g., under 15–30 minutes) during designated shifts.
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using Slack, WhatsApp, and Google Workspace for team coordination.
