Job Description
Need someone to own our Shopify store. Build it right and keep it running smooth.
The Two Sides of This
Building means you can take a store from nothing to something. Pick a theme that fits. Set up the pages right. Make it look clean on phone and desktop. Install the apps we need. Upload products with good descriptions and images. Collections organized. Navigation that makes sense.
Maintaining means you never let it get stale. Products get updated. Descriptions get better. New collections added when seasons change. Plugins stay updated. Speed stays fast. If something breaks, you fix it. If something can be better, you improve it.
What You'll Be Doing
Product uploads and updates. Making sure inventory is right. Writing descriptions that actually help someone buy. Setting up collections so people can find stuff. Keeping the homepage fresh with new banners and featured products.
App management. Installing new ones when needed. Checking that existing ones still work. Removing the ones we don't use.
Regular checkups. Site speed. Mobile view. Broken links. Checkout flow. If something looks off, you catch it before a customer does.
What You Need
You've done this before. You know Shopify backend like it's yours. You understand themes and apps and how they all fit together.
You pay attention. Small details matter. A wrong price or broken image costs sales.
You work on your own. You don't need someone telling you to check the site today. You just do it.
