Job Description

We're a fast-growing startup in the US. We help college students find off-campus apartments through verified reviews from real student tenants, and we partner with local landlords to list their units. Since launching earlier this year, we've facilitated a significant amount of rent value for landlords on our platform — and now we're expanding from one university to several. We need one person to build the landlord side of that growth.

At its core, this is a follow-through job: move landlords through a simple onboarding sequence and make sure nobody slips out of it.

It starts with outreach. You'll email landlords using templates we provide, then get on the phone to follow up. The moment a landlord verbally agrees to list, you send the signup link while the call is still fresh in their mind. Then you watch who actually completes it. When someone agrees but hasn't signed up after a few days, you call them back — not because they're dodging you, but because they're busy. On that call, you offer to handle it for them: we can build the listing from details found online or from wherever they currently advertise. All you need in return is confirmation that the unit is available, the rent is current, and an email for student inquiries.

The role goes beyond onboarding, too. You'll place check-in calls on listings already live to confirm units are still available and rents accurate. You'll build and maintain our landlord database across new campuses — companies, properties, contact names, direct emails, phone numbers — and keep the CRM current, logging the reason behind every "no" and which PMS each landlord uses.

The kind of person who thrives here has clear, comfortable spoken English (you'll be talking to American property managers, and sounding natural and confident matters far more than sounding American). Experience in cold calling, appointment setting, lead generation, or real estate support is a strong plus. You're persistent but never pushy — our whole approach is friendly and low-pressure. You're at home with spreadsheets, web research, and AI, and you've got reliable internet and a quiet space to take calls. Most of all, you want to grow with us: we're early and moving fast, and if this works, there's genuine room to own more of the outreach process and eventually train the people who follow you. We'd rather build around one person than churn through short-term help.

On hours: it's part-time. Most of it is calling, Monday through Thursday, during US Central business hours — a fixed window, because that's when property managers actually pick up. The rest is prospecting, emails, and research on your own schedule. The calling block is a night shift in the Philippines, and since the US observes daylight saving time and the Philippines doesn't, your local hours shift by an hour twice a year. Only apply if you can sustain overnight hours.

Pay is competitive and paid twice monthly. We begin with a two-week paid trial, and week one is paid training with our operations lead — covering the company, the outreach process, and the objections you'll hear most. You'll be logging hours throughout.

To apply, open with the word RENT so we know you read this. Then answer three questions: First, describe a role where you called businesses in the United States — what were you calling about, and roughly how many calls a day? Second, attach a 30-to-60-second voice recording introducing yourself as if you were cold-calling a landlord for the first time about listing their apartment. Third, do you have any previous sales experience, and any in English?

We reply to everyone who follows these instructions.
