Job Description

I run paid acquisition for e-commerce brands and high-ticket offers. I'm looking for a full-time Video Editor who understands one thing above everything else:

Performance.

This is not a corporate editing role.

This is not wedding videos.

This is not YouTube vlogs.

Your job is to create ads that stop the scroll, hold attention, and drive action.

What You'll Be Editing

You'll work primarily on direct-response creatives for Meta and TikTok, including:

  • UGC advertisements
  • Talking-head videos
  • Testimonial ads
  • Founder videos
  • Mashups and compilation creatives
  • Product-focused ad creatives
  • Retargeting ads

Most videos will range from 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the offer and platform.

Core Responsibilities

Ad Editing

  • Turn raw footage into high-converting ad creatives
  • Build strong hooks that capture attention immediately
  • Improve retention through pacing, pattern interrupts, and visual storytelling
  • Add captions, callouts, b-roll, zooms, graphics, and sound design
  • Create multiple ad variations for testing

Creative Testing Support

  • Produce multiple hooks and intros for each ad
  • Create iterations of winning creatives
  • Implement feedback quickly
  • Adapt creatives based on performance data

Creative Research

  • Stay current on Meta and TikTok advertising trends
  • Analyze winning ads and creative angles
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table regularly
  • Help identify new hooks, structures, and editing styles

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing direct-response ads
  • Portfolio containing Meta, TikTok, UGC, or paid-social creatives
  • Strong understanding of hooks, retention, and viewer psychology
  • Excellent editing instincts and storytelling ability
  • Strong typography, pacing, music, and visual taste
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Reliable communication and consistent availability

Must Have Experience With

  • Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent
  • Caption creation and motion graphics
  • UGC and talking-head editing
  • Performance marketing creatives
  • Short-form vertical video

Not a Fit If

  • Your experience is primarily weddings, events, or corporate videos
  • You struggle with deadlines
  • You disappear without communication
  • You need constant supervision
  • You don't understand performance marketing
