Email Deliverability Specialist (Klaviyo)

Half our list not landing in the inbox is worse than not having the list at all. That's the problem we need solved — someone who can actually diagnose why emails are going to spam or promotions instead of guessing and hoping open rates improve on their own.

This isn't campaign strategy or copywriting. It's the technical layer underneath: why sender reputation is dropping, whether SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are configured correctly, and what's actually happening when deliverability tanks after a send.

Day to day, you'd be auditing domain authentication setup and fixing misconfigurations, monitoring sender reputation and inbox placement across major providers like Gmail and Outlook, and investigating spikes in bounces or spam complaints to find the root cause instead of just flagging the symptom. You'd also be managing list hygiene — suppressing unengaged contacts before they drag reputation down — and advising on send practices that protect deliverability long-term, like warm-up schedules for new domains or IPs.

When something changes suddenly — a domain gets blacklisted, open rates crash overnight — you're the person who figures out what happened and fixes it, not someone who waits for it to resolve itself.

You should have real experience specifically with email deliverability, not just general Klaviyo campaign management. Comfort working with DNS records and authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI) is essential, along with experience using deliverability monitoring tools like Google Postmaster Tools, Mailbox tester services, or similar. Understanding of ISP-specific behavior — how Gmail and Outlook handle reputation differently — is a strong plus.

Prior experience troubleshooting a domain that had already suffered deliverability damage, and successfully bringing it back, would put you ahead of other applicants.
