Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online)

US Power Solar is hiring an experienced bookkeeping professional to manage day-to-day financial operations for a growing solar and roofing company. This is a senior bookkeeping role focused on maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, and supporting leadership with reliable financial information.

A major requirement is working closely with management throughout the day. Candidates must be comfortable remaining on camera during working hours and collaborating regularly via Zoom.

The role includes daily bookkeeping inside QuickBooks Online, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, maintaining general ledger accuracy, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with invoicing and payroll-related tasks.

You'll also be responsible for preparing key financial reports such as Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports, while ensuring records are organized for tax preparation and CPA review.

The company is looking for someone who can identify discrepancies, investigate accounting issues, and proactively keep financial records clean and accurate rather than simply entering transactions.

Required qualifications

Strong hands-on QuickBooks Online experience is mandatory. Applicants should have a background in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance, along with experience performing reconciliations and preparing financial reports.

Educational backgrounds in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management Accounting, or Accounting Information Systems are preferred, although extensive QuickBooks experience, bookkeeping certifications, or QuickBooks Online certification may also satisfy requirements.
