AI Workflow Specialist

We're a SaaS company hiring an AI Workflow Specialist to build and maintain the ChatGPT/Claude-based workflows, prompt libraries, and AI-assisted processes that power our content and data operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who has actually built working AI systems — not someone who has only experimented with chatbots — and who can show us what they've shipped.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI-assisted workflows for content and data tasks
• Write, test, and refine prompts, and organize them into a reusable, documented prompt library
• Chain AI steps with automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) and connect them to our existing systems via APIs and webhooks
• Build repeatable processes for content generation, summarization, data extraction, classification, and enrichment
• Test outputs for quality and consistency, and iterate to reduce errors and hallucinations
• Document each workflow clearly so the team can run and maintain it
• Monitor performance and cost, and improve reliability over time
• Stay current with new models, features, and techniques and apply what's useful

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated hands-on experience building AI workflows with ChatGPT and/or Claude (via the apps and the APIs)
• Strong prompt engineering skills — you understand structure, context, few-shot examples, and how to get consistent output
• Experience connecting AI to automation platforms (Make, Zapier, or n8n) and working with APIs, JSON, and webhooks
• Experience building content or data pipelines that run repeatably, not just one-off prompts
• Ability to evaluate output quality and systematically improve it
• Clear technical documentation skills
• Strong written English
• Reliable internet and availability with overlap during US business hours

Nice to Have

• Experience in a SaaS environment
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG, or knowledge-base setups
• Basic scripting (Python or JavaScript)
• Experience with structured-output and API-based AI integration
