AI Voice Agent Manager

We're hiring an AI Voice Agent Manager to build, deploy, and maintain the AI phone agents that handle our inbound and outbound calls and appointment booking. This is a specialized, hands-on role — we need someone with proven experience shipping live voice agents, not someone exploring the space for the first time.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure AI voice agents on platforms like Vapi, Retell, Bland, or Synthflow
• Design call flows, conversation logic, and prompts for inbound and outbound use cases
• Set up appointment-booking flows integrated with calendars and CRMs
• Connect agents to backend systems via APIs, webhooks, and automation tools (Make, n8n, Zapier)
• Configure telephony, phone numbers, call routing, and voicemail handling
• Tune voice, latency, interruption handling, and prompts for natural-sounding calls
• Test agents thoroughly and troubleshoot failed calls, misfires, and integration breaks
• Monitor call performance, transcripts, and booking rates, and iterate to improve them
• Document setups so agents are maintainable and repeatable

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven, hands-on experience building live AI voice agents on Vapi, Retell, Bland, and/or Synthflow — with examples you can show
• Strong prompt engineering skills specific to voice/conversational flows
• Experience integrating agents with calendars, CRMs, and backend systems via API and webhooks
• Familiarity with telephony concepts (SIP, phone number provisioning, call routing)
• Comfort with automation platforms (Make, n8n, or Zapier)
• Understanding of latency, turn-taking, and what makes an AI call sound natural vs. robotic
• Ability to read transcripts and call data and systematically improve performance
• Clear written English and solid documentation habits
• Reliable internet and overlap with US business hours

Nice to Have

• Basic scripting (JavaScript or Python)
• Experience with appointment-setting or lead-qualification use cases specifically
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and TTS/STT providers (ElevenLabs, Deepgram)
