Craft the Story of a Sydney Coffee Shop

We are a beloved independent coffee shop in the heart of Sydney. Our community is everything. We're looking for a creative Video Editor & Scriptwriter to be our digital storyteller. You'll transform the daily magic of our cafe—the latte art, the regulars, the bean roasting—into addictive short-form videos that stop the scroll on TikTok and Instagram. Your work will build our brand and bring new faces through our door.

Your Creative Role

You will own the entire video content process, from concept to finished edit.

• Develop weekly video concepts and scripts that tell engaging stories about our coffee, our people, and Sydney's cafe culture.
• Edit raw footage (shot by our team or provided) into polished, platform-optimized videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Master the specifics of each platform: use trending audio, fast cuts, dynamic text, and hooks that capture attention in the first 3 seconds.
• Maintain a consistent, vibrant visual style that reflects our shop's personality and aesthetic.
• Analyze performance metrics to understand what content resonates and iterate based on audience engagement.
• Collaborate with our baristas and manager to brainstorm ideas that highlight new drinks, events, or community stories.

Required Skills & Portfolio

• Proven experience creating successful short-form video content for TikTok and/or Instagram Reels. A portfolio link is required.
• Strong scriptwriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to write concise, witty, and compelling copy for videos.
• Expert proficiency in mobile-first editing tools like CapCut or InShot, or desktop software like Adobe Premiere Pro.
• A keen eye for pacing, composition, and what makes content shareable in the fast-paced social media environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage a content calendar, and deliver consistent output on schedule.
• A passion for coffee, food, or local community culture is a huge advantage.
