Technical Project Manager - SaaS Product Development

Fast-growing SaaS company building products used by thousands of customers needs technical project manager who can bridge gap between product vision and engineering execution. You will own project delivery from planning through launch ensuring features ship on time without sacrificing quality.

Project planning and coordination

Work with product team translating feature requirements into detailed technical specifications developers can execute. Break down large initiatives into manageable sprints defining clear scope and deliverables for each cycle. Coordinate across engineering, design, and QA teams keeping everyone aligned on priorities and timelines. Manage project timelines identifying dependencies and critical path to prevent delays. Run daily standups keeping team focused and blockers surfaced quickly. Track sprint progress using tools like Jira monitoring velocity and adjusting plans when scope creeps. Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming maintaining healthy agile workflow. Identify risks early escalating technical challenges before they become project blockers.

Stakeholder communication

Report project status to leadership providing visibility into what is shipping and what is at risk. Communicate delays or scope changes to stakeholders managing expectations proactively. Coordinate with customer success team timing releases with customer communications. Document technical decisions and tradeoffs creating paper trail for future reference. Manage cross-functional dependencies when projects touch multiple teams or systems.

Required PM and technical experience

5+ years managing technical projects specifically in software development or SaaS environment. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle knowing what goes into building and shipping features. Experience with agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban managing sprints effectively. Proficiency with project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Linear tracking work systematically. Technical background understanding APIs, databases, and architecture enough to grasp technical discussions. Excellent communication skills translating between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-solving mindset unblocking teams when issues arise rather than just reporting delays. Organized approach juggling multiple projects and priorities without dropping critical tasks.
