Customize & Optimize Our Shopify Storefront

We are a specialty coffee roastery growing our direct-to-consumer business on Shopify. Our store is our flagship. We need a skilled Shopify Developer to take ownership of our store's technical execution—transforming design ideas into fast, conversion-optimized pages and building the custom features that set our brand apart.

Core Development Responsibilities

You will be the technical expert for our Shopify Plus store, working hand-in-hand with our E-commerce Manager.

• Customize and extend our Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a unique and seamless brand experience.
• Develop custom sections, templates, and landing pages for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and subscription promotions.
• Optimize the store for site speed, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility to maximize conversion rates.
• Integrate and configure third-party Shopify apps and APIs (e.g., for subscriptions, loyalty, reviews) to enhance functionality.
• Implement and manage tracking codes (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) and ensure data layer accuracy.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the store, ensuring stability and a smooth customer checkout experience.

Required Technical Skills

• 3+ years of front-end development experience with at least 2 years focused on Shopify theme development and customization.
• Expert proficiency in Shopify's theme architecture, Liquid templating language, and the Shopify Admin API.
• Strong front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles.
• Experience with version control (Git) and modern front-end build tools.
• A portfolio showcasing custom Shopify projects you have built or significantly customized.
• Understanding of e-commerce UX/UI best practices and performance optimization for Shopify.
