Product Manager - Project Management Software

Growing project management software company needs Product Manager owning product strategy and roadmap. You will work directly with our engineering team shipping features that solve real customer problems while positioning us effectively in the productivity tools market.

Core responsibilities

Talk to customers constantly through calls, emails, and support tickets understanding pain points and needs. Define product roadmap deciding what features get built based on customer demand and strategic priorities. Write detailed specifications engineers can execute without constant back-and-forth clarification. Work alongside development team during implementation making tradeoff decisions and answering questions. Ship features iteratively using real usage data to improve rather than waiting for perfection. Analyze product metrics identifying which capabilities drive engagement and which fall flat. Prioritize ruthlessly focusing resources on highest-impact opportunities. Communicate product updates to customers explaining new releases and their value. Research market trends and user behavior informing strategic product decisions. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and support teams aligning on positioning and messaging.

Required product experience

5+ years as Product Manager at B2B SaaS companies with shipped products customers pay for. Experience with productivity, collaboration, or project management tools understanding this market deeply. Proven track record making product decisions that drove measurable business results. Strong technical understanding communicating effectively with engineers about architecture and implementation. Customer-focused approach spending time understanding users rather than making assumptions. Comfortable with ambiguity and fast pace typical of smaller companies. Strategic thinking balancing immediate needs against long-term vision. Excellent written communication documenting decisions and specifications clearly.
