Job Description
We are building software for real estate investors who need to track their properties, tenants, financials, and deals all in one place. The product has found its footing and we are growing quickly, which means there is a lot to build and not enough hands on deck.
What you would be working on
Our stack is Next.js and React on the frontend with TypeScript and Tailwind making everything look clean. On the backend we are running Node.js with PostgreSQL and using Supabase to move fast. Most of your time would go into shipping new features that customers are asking for, squashing bugs when they pop up, and making sure the app stays fast as we add more users. You would also handle integrations with MLS feeds and property data APIs since real estate runs on that stuff.
Day to day it is mostly writing code, reviewing pull requests from the team, and jumping on calls to figure out what we should prioritize next. We are a small team so everyone wears a few hats, but nobody is expected to be on call 24/7 or anything like that.
Who would be a good fit
You have been building full stack apps with React and Next.js for at least 5 years and have shipped real products people use. TypeScript is second nature to you and you understand modern React patterns without needing to look everything up. You have worked with PostgreSQL or something similar enough times to write efficient queries without overthinking it. You are comfortable making technical decisions on your own and do not need someone micromanaging every line of code.
Bonus points if you have dealt with real estate data or property management systems before because that context helps a lot. Ideally you can dive into our codebase and start contributing within a week or two, not spending months ramping up.
